I went with the AYCE (all you can eat sushi dinner) $32.95, but I can eat a lot of sushi, even when I'm not hungry, which was the case today.
This is my friend's go to spot in the area and he frequents the place all the time. He got a really nice combo of 25 or so pieces of sashimi served with a fish carcass. You might be thinking wtf, a fish carcass!!?? Yes, but after you finish your sashimi, they take the fish carcass and make a WONDERFUL soup. Wow, what a surprise. I wasn't hungry coming in as I had a ton of ramen a few hours earlier, but liquid courage is all I need to go for a AYCE bufffet and that is what I did. Anyway, after pounding a ridiculous amount of sushi of all varieties, my friend made me try the soup and it was really good. If I'm in town and I go back, that is what I'm going to get.
I think they have hh, but I went later at night and was going for AYCE, so I didn't have any room for drinks.
The chefs were super friendly.
My friend got a magnum of fine sake, so I had a few shots of that to go along with my meal. -

We decided to check this place out since it was right across the street from where we were watching a show. Looked like it had potential - decor was nice, menu looked good. They have AYCE menu and a la carte menu. We decided to do AYCE since some of the rolls were already $15 each.
We did our first round and everything was fine. When we were ready to order our second round, my friend wanted to get a third order from the "special choice" section since you can pick 3 from the 9 options. But apparently, what wasn't explained to us, you have to order all three in the first round. So when my friend was trying to explain she hadn't ordered the third one, the server was getting visibly frustrated and upset trying to explain it to us. It would've been nice if they explained that to us in the beginning.
We placed our order for the second round and forty minutes later - yes, forty - we still didn't have our food. They brought our ordering sheet back and asked if we really didn't get our order yet. Then they said they "put it in now". Our food finally arrived and another server was clearing our other plates. We had two pieces of sushi rolls left on the plates and as the plates were being cleared, the other female server said something to the guy in another language. He then placed the plates back on the table and said that we would be charged if we didn't finish everything. WERE THEY SERIOUS?? They were late getting us our second round and had the nerve to say they were going to charge us if we didn't finish two pieces out of all the plates we ordered?! RIDICULOUS.
It's a shame because I really enjoyed the food, but I will not be going back because of how upsetting the service was! -

This place is so lucky I'm even throwing them a 1 star rating.
One word to explain this place.
AWFUL....
Was in the area looking for some good sushi.
Found this place and it had some decent reviews so I decided to give it a try.
From the inside the decor and everything is nice and very welcoming.
The waiter was okay, had to grab her attention a couple times to just order something, there was only 1 other table too.
ANYWAYS.... to get down to the main disappointment.
THE FOOD IS TERRIBLE.
I'm glad I didn't over due it here because the prices are ridiculously high.
My first problem was our appetizer a tuna carpaccio ! Which looked good on picture. Guess what these shmucks brought out to me ?
Literally sliced avocado and 4 slices of tuna for 15$ lol. I could've made this mess at home. Was plain and didn't even have any of the toppings in the picture.
Next problem.
All the rolls are small in size compared to other sushi locations.
And this place ABSOLUTELY LOVES using stale and old product.
I ordered 4 of their special rolls and they were seriously all the same roll with just a slightly different topping.
The tempura was frozen cold in the rolls and just flat out gross.
Total of the rolls and terrible service.
$95 lol plus $10 parking.
Do yourself a favor and get some Panda Express lol. -

I love food. A lot. And this place, for all you can eat sushi and ramen, is AMAZING. The quality of the food is AMAZING . Although it's all you can eat, a small bowl of Ramon came with all the veggies/Effie and noodles you could as for. The sushi was amazing and super flavorful, the salads were delicious and the fried chicken was amazing I don't live in LA but I can promise that I will come here again. It is definitely worth the money. They also had a beverage happy
Hour , 4.50 for a glass of white wine(what I got) and $12 for a pitcher of beer ( what I wanted to get but decided to go with wine) -

We came in here with anticipation. The ambience of the restaurant looks promising and the pictures in the menu looks good.
We opted for the all you can eat, and seeing how many people there were in the restaurant, we felt that it was a good choice since everyone seems to be opting for it as well.
After a long wait, we sat at our table at around 9pm. We ordered our first round almost immediately. And here comes the wait. We waited for 50mins before any food came. And before our first round of food came, they told us that the kitchen is closing and we need to order our 2nd round of food.
The service was extremely slow. We were told that people seldom manage to order 3 rounds and now I can see why, it's not because people order a lot each time, but because they are just SOOO slow with their service.
On top of that, I had a hard time trying to get the attention of the servers. One of the guys even cut me off when I was asking questions about the menu and said he will be right back. He walked off, and never came back. I have never gotten cut off my a server while asking questions about the menu. Like what is so urgent that he needs to cut a customer off and walk away, and then not come back to you like he promised?
Finally, the food wasn't great. It wasn't good even. The miso soup was like warm, the tempura was deep fried, the sushi was falling apart, the eel wasn't properly grilled.
I am so disappointed. I thought I have found a go to place for sushi, but sadly no.
Oh, but the salmon sushi and scallops were good (decent), just so I can give a balanced review. Perhaps they just don't prioritize buffet orders cause I've seen them torching the eels. So either they are terrible at torching them, or they just don't torch properly for buffet orders. It was served cold.
I will not recommend this place.
